Are you currently living and working outside the UK?

European citizens and members of their family can enter, live in and work in the United Kingdom. This section applies to citizens of countries within the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.

If you are a national of the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia or Slovenia and want to work for one month or more for a United Kingdom employer you must register under the WRS.

If you are a Bulgarian or Romanian national you are free to come to the United Kingdom to live. You will need to be able to support yourself and your family in the United Kingdom without becoming an unreasonable burden on public funds. If you want to work as an employee in the United Kingdom you will need permission from the Home Office before you start work. There are two stages to applying for work authorisation. Your employer needs to apply for a work permit. Once they have applied for the work permit and it has been approved, a letter of approval will be sent to you. When you have received this letter you will then need to apply for an accession worker card.

In order to support any EEA application we will require you to provide the following docuents:

Proof of identity – passpost, birth ceftificate, driving licence
Completed application form
A full CV detailing any career breaks.
Copy of your degree/qualifications
A police, criminal record check from your home country. When you arrive in the UK we will also need to conduct a UK CRB check.
A minimum of two professional references – they can only be from referees that you have worked with or for over the last two years. Personal references cannot be accepted.
