Contributing to pharmacy ward rounds, this is a very rewarding role as you get the opportunity to interact with patients on a one-to-one level. You will be responsible for reconciliation of their medication and discharge to help meet the Trust agenda and educating patients on medication. This role extends to providing advice and educating medical and nursing staff, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of medicines management policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

An experienced Pharmacist, you may currently be working in a hospital or community pharmacy, looking to broaden your experience, as well as specialise. An interest in the Surgical/Trauma and Orthopedics Directorate Pharmacy role will be essential, matched with the desire to develop in a clinical role. A strong team spirit and good communication skills will be required; there will be the opportunity to contribute to the Acute Pain Team and the development of pharmacy input into the new Surgical Admissions Unit and Pre-operative Assessment Clinic.
