An immediate requirement has been released for a Senior Pharmacy Technician Aseptic Services. If you would like to work with patients, clinicians and nurses on the wards and have prior experience in Aseptics, this is the job for you. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible pharmacy technician who enjoys a varied role to join this already successful team. The post holder will participate in all areas of aseptic dispensing. You will act as line manager to Technicians Junior / Student and Pharmacy Assistants. Experienced Required" To assist in the provision of an efficient pharmaceutical service for both in and out-patients. " To dispense controlled drugs according to national guidelines and to maintain accurate records and stock levels with particular regard to the extra requirements of the controlled drugs act, and to perform regular stock checks throughout the hospital. " Provide advice and information to nursing and medical staff within the hospital. " Provide an information and advisory service for patients and relatives during their treatment. " To supervise junior staff as appropriate. " To maintain drug boxes throughout the hospital. " To ensure safe systems of work with particular reference to the Health and Safety at Work Act and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations. " To attend multidisciplinary clinical meetings as required. " To undertake weekend and public holiday duties on a rotational basis and to participate in the 'on-call' rota as required. " To perform other duties as agreed with the Pharmacy Manager. " To carry out all work with due regard to procedures and standards of professional practice established nationally, regionally and locally. |
